MARGAO: Recruitment in government service will commence from July, after normalcy returns in the Covid-19 situation, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said on Wednesday.

Reacting to the order pertaining to lifting the ban imposed on government recruitments Sawant said that interviews will be conducted starting from July to all the advertised government posts.

Speaking on the decision to conduct online classes, Sawant said that the Education Department has been given full power to decide as to whether classes are to be held online or offline.

“Director of Education will take the appropriate decisions with regard to system concerning conducting the classes. Whether the teachers have to come to the school in order to take classes or they can conduct it from the home, this too will be decided by the department. Presently teachers are busy in evaluating the result of Class X and XII,” the Chief Minister said.

The department has recommended to the government that school sessions be conducted online in the new academic year starting from June 21.
