Reginaldo advises CM to adopt environment friendly projects

MARGAO: In a letter to the Chief Minister of Goa the Opposition MLA Aleixo Reginaldo has requested CM to take a cue from the Chief Minister of Maharashtra opposing the broadening of railway track and urged the Goa CM to write to the Center opposing the same for Goa. 

Opposition MLA Reginaldo said that Uddhav Thackeray, the Hon’ble CM of Maharashtra who has written a letter to Prakash Javadekar, the Hon’ble Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change has opposed the the proposed rail project within Melghat Tiger reserve as the said project would completely harm the natural habitat. He has requested for the withdrawal of the proposal. 

“I request your good self to take a leaf out of Hon’ble Maharashtra CM, whose bold move to save his State’s natural habitat from Central government’s disastrous projects needs to be appreciated and therefore you too write a letter to all important functionaries in the Central government including our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Prakash Javadekar, Hon’ble Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Railway Minister and others on the proposed similar disastrous projects of the Central government in the State of Goa” urged Reginaldo.
