Speaking to media persons regarding the statements made against him by Alemao, Lourenco recalled how Furtado, who Alemao had called a sample, had beaten him in the 2012 assembly elections and said the election result was a certificate given to Alemao by the people.
“I don’t want to talk much about Churchill’s labels. What matters is what the people think and the people gave Churchill a certificate in the Lok Sabha elections also. The people gave me a certificate at the LS 2014 elections, the 2012 State elections and the previous State elections and I go by what the people say and not Churchill,” Lourenco said.
He added that he would rather pay attention to ‘samples’ than pay heed to the comments of Churchill Alemao..
