Margao: Congress’ Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar calling him “safeguarder” of corruption in Goa and added that zero tolerance to corruption propagated by BJP in the state has become a mirage.
“There is no doubt that Parrikar, BJP’s mascot in Goa, has been continuously “fooling” Goenkars by his so-called anti-corruption drive which is nothing but an eyewash“, he charged.
“The recent two stints of Parrikar as CM in past six years from March 9, 2012 to November 8, 2014 and March 14, 2017 till date has clearly indicated that he apart from being the “Master of U-Turns on policy matters concerning governance, is also the foremost “safeguarder” of corruption,”, he alleged.
“The Chief Minister, who also holds the Home portfolio does not practice what he preaches, when it comes to tackling corruption.”
