MARGAO: Demanding that the Goa government come clean on the school timings, Congress Party spokesman Reginaldo Lourenco on Friday said the Congress would write to the Centre not to implement the Right to Education Act in the state if that overburdens the school children vis-a-vis the school timings.
He said it is the duty of the government to find a solution to the school timings to ensure that the children are not unnecessarily overburdened.
“We will fight injustice meted out to the school children by writing to the centre not to implement RTE in Goa. There are so many things enacted by the Centre which are not implemented in Goa”, he said, while demanding that the government leave the issue of school timings to the PTAs for a solution.
