In a sudden development, TMC leader Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco resigned from the TMC, on Sunday. Reports suggests he got an immediate offer to rejoin the Congress.
In a one sentence letter addressed to the Party President AITC, Reginaldo said, I have decided to resign from the primary membership of the All India Trinamool Congress party with immediate effect. Reginaldo did not give any reasons for his sudden decision to quit the party.
The three time Goa Congress MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco resigned from the Congress party on 20th December 2021. Four days ago, he was announced as the party’s Curtorim candidate for 2022 assembly elections.
Reginaldo was earlier in talks with BJP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), but Congress had managed to convince him not to quit the party. After Reginaldo resigned from the Congress, he had hit out at the Congress saying he was not allowed to do development in his Curtorim Constituency and work for his people.
He had later joined the TMC in Kolkata, but his sojourn did not last long, since he resigned on Sunday, Jan 16, 2022.
