Addressing the media, Reginaldo said the government has failed to put in place the Regional Plan despite assurances made by ex-chief minister Manohar Parrikar in the Legislative Assembly. “Assembly is the temple of democracy, but assurances given by the BJP government during the last three years remain unfulfilled,” he said.
Demanding to know the fate of the government’s zero tolerance to corruption policy, Reginaldo claimed that corruption is prevalent everywhere, adding that the zero tolerance talk has no meaning in the State.
Saying that law and order situation has only worsened since the last three years, Reginaldo said that the BJP’s own MLAs are pointing accusing fingers at the government for promoting drug trafficking in the State. ‘The parivartan had promised to create employment opportunities, but even the election of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister has failed to deliver the results,” he said.
Referring to the development works in his Curtorim constituency, Reginaldo accused the government for trying to damage him in his constituency by dilly dallying in the development works. “I was assured that the government would take up hot mixing work on the Arlem-Borim road in March, but the work has not started till date. The school bus promised in my constituency has not reached the students till date,” he lamented.
