MARGAO: Chidambar Channekar whose Rekha Bar and Restaurant premises were demolished on October 31 while asserting that he was targeted only because a local MLA is against him, threatened to file contempt proceedings against the Margao Municipal Council.
Incidentally, MMC had served a demolition order against Rekha Bar on February 1, 2016 which order was challenged before the Municipal Appellate Tribunal. However, the Tribunal vide order dated September 14, 2017 dismissed the appeal.
But, Chidambar appealed against the Tribunal order before the High Court of Bombay at Goa which did not grant him any relief.
