The duo claimed to have become party workers by paying Rs 10 membership fee. Donning a cap and waving spiky broom and excited about joining a political party for the first time in his life pop-singer Fernandes has given his first reaction on social networking site – Facebook.
“Yesterday was a historic day for me: for the very first time in my life, I joined a political party. Because, for the first time in my life, I believe in a political party. The Aam Admi Party,” he said on his Facebook page. “Before those of you who are politically ignorant [like me!] think this means I’ve ‘joined politics and am standing for elections’, let me clarify this

only means that, like lakhs of people have done in Delhi, I have become a party worker/member by paying a Rs. 10 fee and acquiring a receipt. And that signifies that I agree with the party’s policies and ideologies, and that I’m ready to work to implement them to the best of my ability.”
Dr Rebello, one of the founders of the Goa Bachao Abhiyan spoke to Herald confirming that he had indeed joined as primary member of AAP. “I have joined as a primary member. At the end of the day you need to put some faith in some party. So I joined the AAP,” he said.
He said that he felt that 90 percent Goans had the same ideology as the AAP and he “was happy to contribute in some way to the political thought” in the state.
Remo and Oscar have always criticized the political parties and politicians over its wrong doings and brought it in the public limelight.  Remo had once called politicians as thieves saying they join politics to make money.
