MARGAO: Renowned writer Damodar Mauzo was felicitated for having been bestowed with the prestigious Jnanpith Award for the year 2022 at a function held, at Ravindra Bhavan, here.
The senior and celebrated writer, Mauzo was earlier conferred with the country’s highest literary award for his “outstanding contribution to literature”.
Senior journalist and director of a national daily, N Ram was the chief guest on the occasion and was all praise for Mauzo.
Others too spoke about Mauzo such as Advocate Uday Bhembre, writer Jose Lourenco and Director of Higher Education Prasad Lolienkar. Mauzo himself addressed the large gathering and expressed his gratitude.
