PANJIM: The Shiv Sena Goa unit has demanded that the State government repair the roads first and compensate accident victims before implementing the amended Motor Vehicle (MV) Act.
While addressing the media persons, Shiv Sena Goa Chief Jitesh Kamat accused the State of using the new MV Act to fill the pocket of government officials.
He alleged that there already has been corruption with the existing fine amounts and that once the new fines are increased, officials will ask for bigger bribes too thus increasing the scope of corruption.
