MARGAO: The PWD has announced that water supply to Salcete, Sanguem, Quepem and Mormugao talukas will be restricted on Sunday, May 21, from 7 am to 6 pm – the same day the Electricity Department has scheduled its annual maintenance works. As a result, there will be no power supply across South Goa from 7 am to 3 pm.
In a public notice issued on Thursday, the Executive Engineer (EE) PWD Sanguem said there will be restricted water supply from Selaulim water works on May 21 due to the power shutdown and maintenance work of the pipeline. “A planned annual power shutdown has been arranged at Electrical Substation at Xeldem on May 21 between 7 am to 3 pm to take up the maintenance works on trunk main of 160 MLD Water Treatment Plant (WTP) at Cortali-Sanguem,” said the EE.
