Results invalid after two years

Students who pass their 12th standard exam and fail to procure their final eligibility certificate from the board will suffer this fate

PANJIM: The students, clearing standard 12 board examination, who fail to procure their final eligibility certificate from the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE), will have their results kept in abeyance for two years following which it will be declared invalid. 
In a circular issued to the higher secondary’s, GBSHSE secretary Bhagirath G. Shetye has informed the Board in its general body meeting held on June 28, has resolved to allow students of Std XI to keep terms at Std XII if declared passed. “The candidate/s who have passed std XI but their final eligibility certificate is pending with the Board for want of relevant documents shall be allowed to keep terms at std XII after declaration of their results,” the circular reads. 
“However, if Candidate/s are unable to procure final eligibility certificate for any reason the results of such candidates at Std XII shall be kept in abeyance for only two years and shall stand invalid after the lapse of two years,” Board has stated.
It has further said that such candidate/s shall not be issued leaving certificate if desire to leave the institution till the time final eligibility certificate is obtained by them. The Board has urged the students to submit all the required documents along with Aadhar card to obtain final eligibility certificate from them. As many as 17,025 students have registered themselves for the XIIth board examination to be held in March, 2019.
