MARGAO, JULY 1
Sea water gushing into the creek at Colva appears to have left the retaining wall built at the entrance to the beach damaged.
A portion of the wall caved in due to the heavy water flow from the sea into the creek and vice versa, sources said.
Meanwhile, the rough sea condition may have prevented many a fishermen from venturing out, but the prevailing conditions did not deter a  group of fishermen from catching fish in the shallow waters at Colva beach.
With fish becoming dearer in the markets, these local fishermen tried their luck on the Colva beach this morning and were fortunate enough to net a small catch.
