MARGAO: Retired Home Guard Vimal Shirodkar who raised the plight of the Home Guards has joined AAP on Monday. Vimal says that AAP is the only hope for the common man and retired people of Goa. She was welcomed into AAP at the customary New Year meeting, coupled with party Convenor’s birthday celebrations organised by South Goa volunteers at Margao.
Vimal was a familiar face in Margao working tirelessly as a Home Guard until her retirement last year. By her sheer dint of her hard work and dedicated service, she had won the adulation of the young and old alike. Welcoming her, AAP Goa Convenor Elvis Gomes expressed happiness that Vimal had chosen to join AAP and give her time.
