“I have noted down a few things about the Goa Bhumiputra Adhikarini Bill 2021. More important is that it should be put for discussion and then brought before the floor of the House”, she said.
“Yes, I have some fears with regards to the bill. Now, the Chief Minister has decided to put the bill for public opinion. There is a lot of opposition to the bill but the CM will take the right decision in the coming days”, the minister said.
On the shortage of mamlatdars, she said, “We are working towards filling up the posts of required mamlatdars and the issue will be resolved very soon”.
“We had a shortage of vehicles, and were forced to hire private ones. Now, there will be no problem and more importantly there will be no more excuses of shortage of vehicles to carry out the works, especially to go for inspections”, she said.
On the maintenance of Matanhy Saldanha Administrative Complex at Margao, she said the file pertaining to the maintenance works has been cleared by the department and the work has commenced.
“Yes there are problems with regard to maintenance of the collectorate building and the PWD was supposed to carry out the work. The file has been cleared by the department and the work is underway. There is a problem with regards to the toilets having the sensor system. Such buildings should not have toilet sensor system as thousands use these toilets. Sensors are very expensive “, she added.
