…revises NOC rates for cremations, burials

Corporation of City of Panjim (CCP) on Thursday revised the rates for NOC’s for cremations, burials beside sale of graves, niches and related matters.
As per the new rates which were decided at the CCP’s ordinary meeting held here, the fees for NOC towards cremation will be charged Rs 100 as against Rs 60. Similarly for burial it will charge Rs 200 from earlier price of Rs 170.
The fees towards purchase of graves have been increased from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh while for niche it will be Rs 25,000.
The revised rates will be applicable from April 1.
The last such revision of the fees was done way back in 2003.
