PONDA: Revolutionary Goans leaders Vishwesh Naik, along with members Damodar Shirodkar, Nandesh Sawant, Abijeet Naik, Subash Cuttikar and other members addressing to media on Wednesday said that they are been targeted for raising issues that affected Goans.
Citing examples RG Member at Collem, Damodar Shirodkar said his shop at Savordem Bus Stand was set on fire last Friday midnight for raising issue of mining workers. It caused loss of Rs 1.5 crore. Similarly very next day shop of RG member Nandesh Sawant Desai at Ambeudak was damaged. RG Member Abijeet Naik discloses that his shop at Savordem was raided for drugs to harass him but nothing was found.
Members warned that they would continue to work for local Goans despite harassment from politicians.
“We filed cases with Police but no action taken” said a RG Members. He said there are several big crimes taking place in State but sadly RG Members are only targeted for supporting to goans and raising voice on behalf of them.
“We are not even allowed to take meetings. Soon we declare to organise a meeting police arrive and stop them from holding meetings and top politicians in Goa are behind this ,” said RG Members.
Members pledged that they would continue working as local Goans have tremendously supported to RG for fighting for them.
