Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude, MLAs Ravi Naik and Sudin Dhavalikar, MGP president Deepak Dhavalikar, sarpanchas, panchas from Ponda taluka offered floral tributes at Bandodkar’s statue.
Naik said, “Bhausaheb laid the foundation for the development of Goa. Goa is following the path of development and all credit goes to the former chief minister.”
Sudin said, “No one can take the place of former Chief Minister for his immense contribution. Bandodkar had stressed the need to shift the houses located on the river banks. The recent floods that submerged the houses located on the river banks proved that the government needs to shift them.”
Gaude said, “Bandodkar is an inspiration to the youth. Youth need to imbibe Bhausaheb’s ideals. Farmagudi has become an educational hub. Following Bandodkar’s footsteps MLAs Ravi Naik and Subhash Shirodkar established educational institutions.”
