HONDA: In a tragic incident, a 22-year-old rider from Palyem, Velguem died and the pillion rider sustained injuries when their two-wheeler collided against a container truck near Honda Industrial Estate.
The police gave the name of the victim as Prajwal Dhuri of Palyem-Velguem and of the injured as Sunil Amonkar. The accident occurred when the duo was proceeding on a two-wheeler from Honda to Valpoi while, the truck was coming in the opposite direction.
Both were rushed to Sankhali PHC where Dhuri was declared brought dead. Sunil is undergoing treatment.
