BICHOLIM: A 16-year-old minor Yugul alias Vaman Shyamsundar Dangui from Vasantnagar, Sanquelim, died while his pillion rider seriously injured after the motorcycle in which they were travelling on hit against an oncoming car at Desainagar, Sanquelim on Saturday.
According to Bicholim police, Yugul and Afshan Liyakat Khan (16) were heading to the main road, from an internal road, at Desainagar at a high speed when they were hit by an oncoming car which was travelling on the main road. Yugul and and the pillion rider Afshan fell on the road and seriously injured due to impact of collision.
Both were shifted to Community Health Centre at Sanquelim in 108 Ambulance. But doctors declared Yugul brought dead, while Afshan was taken to Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim.
