PONDA: A motorcycle rider was grievously injured after he was knocked down by a speeding jeep at Mangueshi junction.
According to Ponda Police, the jeep (GA-01-B-2843) was proceeding from Kundaim to Mardol when it dashed a motorcycle (GA-05-C-7588), which was proceeding from Ponda to Panjim.
Police further said the motorcycle rider, Nilesh Naik, sustained grievous injury to his head. Head Constable Shamrao Dessai is investigating the case.
