PANJIM: A rift has developed in the Save Old Goa Action Committee with its Vice President Golda Almeida alleging harassment by some of the committee members.
Addressing a press conference along with Save Old Goa Action Committee Secretary Anan Gracias and others, Almeida said that during the meeting held on Sunday, she was harassed and told that she had no place in the action committee.
Almeida claimed that she participated in the satyagraha continuously for 89 days and alleged that ill-treatment to her by some committee members was because she had opposed the attempt of some members to remove the secretary without following proper rules.
