“The contractor M/s Arihant has informed us that they have completed almost 80 per cent of the work to remove the debris of the River Princess and the balance will be executed within two weeks,” Fernandes told Herald.
“The contractor hopes that the State government will appoint an agency to certify the quantum of work to fulfil their obligations. With the uncertainty of rains, they hope that the government will carry out the required formalities within a couple of days. The contractor has done a good job so far and the government needs to help them in this regard,” said Fernandes.
