SANGUEM: The rivers in Netravali, Sanguem have been overflowing due to continuous downpour in the taluka.
Incidentally, this is the first time that during the current monsoon season that the rivers in the village began to overflow and that too beyond people’s expectations.
No one in the village expected the rivers to overflow. However, the sudden heavy rains which took everyone by surprise left many particularly riders stranded at many places.
Some locals residing in the interiors of the village and relying on wooden plank bridges, were forced to remain indoors as they were cut off from the nearby villages.
The sudden rain flooded many agricultural plantations in the area.
