SANGUEM: Fifty-three-year-old Santosh Naik, a resident of Adem-Rivona died after a wild boar attacked him while undertaking an agricultural work in his farm, on Monday.
The incident took place at around 2 pm when Santosh along with his wife and two other co-workers had gone to undertake agricultural work in his farm.
According to available information, Naik was in the process of cutting some bushes when a wild boar attacked him. He was left unconscious for some time and died after some time.
Quepem Police Station Police Inspector Santosh Dessai rushed to the site and conducted the panchanama and sent the body for postmortem.
Expressing shock over the untimely demise of Santosh, panch Suresh Kepekar urged the Forest Department to take the cognisance of Naik’s death due to attack by wild boar. Kepekar urged the Forest Department to provide due compensation to the Naik’s family members. Santosh is survived by his wife and two sons.
