PANJIM: A radio jockey (RJ) was arrested for allegedly assaulting and threatening a lady doctor at Goa Medical College and Hospital, on Tuesday night.
Olga Rego, was booked under sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 of IPC and subsequently released on bail the following day.
Agassaim PI Uday Parab said Rego allegedly slapped and kicked Dr Nishad Rashid Abdul in the paediatric ward of GMC and later threatened her.
“She was not happy with the treatment given to her daughter who was suffering from respiratory problems. Upset, she resorted to the offence,” Parab said quoting the statement copy.
The accused was arrested after the doctor complained at the GMC police outpost.
