PANJIM: The roads in the capital city are already taking a beating due to the ongoing works under Smart City Mission. Another road caved-in at St Inez, Panjim on Monday, trapping the rear wheels of a debris-loaded truck.
The road had been dug up to carry out the sewage works. The truck driver managed to escape without injuries. However, commuters were left stranded on the busy road due to the traffic jam caused due to the mishap.
This was the sixth incident of truck falling into the dug roads since the first incident reported on February 6.
