PERNEM: The road from Dabholkar wada to Gaude wada in Morjim Panchayat jurisdiction is in a very bad condition. Currently, the work of widening the road is going on.
The former sarpanch and current Zilla Panchayat member Satish Shetgaonkar had initiated the road widening work.
However, since the road is in a coastal road it is always crowded with the tourist vehicles and is insufficient to handle the traffic. Therefore, it was decided to widen the road further by compromising with the land owners and traders. But few people have tried to encroach upon the road by planting coconut saplings.
It can be recalled that the respective road was dug up to lay underground power cables. However, the same road has now been repaired after doing the work.
