Robbery bid at Khandepar: cops arrest one more person

Ponda Police arrested one more person in connection with the robbery bid by two Karnataka men at Khandepar-Ponda.
Ponda Police on Friday arrested Manoj Namdev Pawar from Kolhapur-Maharashtra at Belgaum.
It may be recalled that on October 4, an alert woman had foiled a robbery bid by two persons at Khandepar. Ponda Police had arrested Basavraj Laxman of Yamuna Nagar-Belgaum, while Manoj managed to flee from the scene.
Police had also attached a motorcycle (KA-26-H-7354), which was suspected to have been used by the accused in the offence.
Investigating Officer Deepak Pednekar along with the LIB staff from Ponda Police arrested the accused in Belgaum.
According to Ponda Police, both the accused were earlier released on bail by Belgaum Police in connection with house theft case. Police also informed that the duo was also involved in various criminal activities.
