Rohan, Lavu sing praises of AAP’s Delhi election victory

Rohan says its time for a third front, Lavu feels AAP result will have a bearing on Panjim by-election

PONDA/PORVORIM: Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte and MGP’s Ponda MLA Lavu Mamledar praised Aam Aadmi Party’s historic electoral win, with the former asserting that people can be replaced for their arrogance and self-acclaimed invincibility.
Congratulating AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal for the party’s stunning performance in the Delhi assembly election, Mamledar said the Delhi poll results may affect the Panjim by-election to some extent.
Addressing media persons, Mamledar said, “AAP is a common man’s party. The party should fulfill the aspirations and dreams of the people of Delhi, as they are facing a lot of problems of water, electricity, etc. The AAP should lead Delhi towards development.”
Speaking further, Mamledar alleged a fraud in the Sopo contract, which was awarded to the contractor by the Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) during last fiscal year.
“PMC suffered a loss, while the contractor benefited,” he said and suspected the involvement of some councillors in the Sopo contract.
“Before finding a solution to previous year’s (2014-15) Sopo contract issue, it was wrong on the part of PMC to pass a resolution to auction the Sopo contract for the new fiscal year 2015-16. It will create additional mess. The Sopo tax system should be totally abolished in Ponda market,” he said.
Welcoming the New Delhi assembly results, Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte said the Delhi elections had proved that people can be replaced for their arrogance and self-acclaimed invincibility.
Congratulating AAP for its landslide victory in Delhi Assembly elections, Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte said it was a time to form a third front in the State, as people are fed up with the Congress and the BJP.
“The Delhi election results are in the right direction. It shows that people can be replaced for their arrogance and self acclaimed invincibility. I congratulate heartily AAP for its amazing victory and strongly feel that it is a right time for third party in Goa.”
“People are fed up of Congress because of their policies and with also with BJP for their U-turns and arrogance” stated Khaunte, while speaking to Herald.
