RPF busts rly e-ticket racket at Ponda, two agents arrested

MARGAO: The Railway Protection Force (RPF), Margao, on Thursday conducted a raid on a travel agency at Ponda and arrested two persons for allegedly running a railway ticket scam. The RPF personnel also seized railway e-tickets worth Rs 2.6 lakh.

 RPF Inspector Vinod Mishra said he received information that the owner of the travel agency was involved in a racket of illegally procuring and supplying railway e-tickets. During the raid, the RPF arrested Gautam Sail and Mayor Gaonkar. Further investigations are underway.

It may be recalled that a similar racket was being run from a travel agency in Margao, which was raided by the RPF last Sunday. 62 forged identification documents and e-tickets worth lakhs of rupees were seized.
