MARGAO: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Friday detained a dozen bikes for rent from the premises of the Margao railway station.
The RPF personnel cracked a whip against the two-wheelers after they were found parked inside the railway station premises without authorization and permission from the Konkan Railway. Heated arguments ensued between the police personnel and the rent-a-bike owners, but the RPF personnel stood their ground and detained the two-wheelers. An RPF PSI told newsmen that the vehicles will be released only after completing the formalities.
