Rs 120 cr power subsidy: CM hits out to ‘credit’ takers

PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Friday hit out to “political vultures” for trying to take undue credit over the Power Subsidy announced by the State government.
“In view of the hardships faced by consumers and businesses owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, Government of Goa has decided to give a power subsidy of Rs 120 crore for the year 2021-22.  While some ‘political vultures’ have rushed to claim credit, conveniently forgetting that same subsidy to the tune of Rs 88 crore was given last year too. Goa model of governance puts people first. As for the noise makers, let me remind them, actions speak louder than words,” said Sawant via Twitter.
