PANJIM: Preparations are on in full swing to celebrate Shigmo or Holi in the State which will commence from March 29.
Government has set aside Rs 2 crore budget for this colourful festival.
The tourism ministry plans on promoting Shigmo as the spring festival of Goa, in a bid to draw visitors to State.
A department official exclaimed, “Our carnival promotional strategies paid off! Now we want to continue giving Goa a good season through festival tourism, this time with Shigmo.”
