While social groups and residents are crying hoarse against mega housing projects citing basic infrastructure in villages, it is reportedly learnt that a leading real-estate developer has launched a Rs 300-crore high-end project in Goa.
According to Sunday’s web edition of The Economic Times, the project will be developed across 9.3 acres in the picturesque landscape of the State having 36 luxury villas. It is slated for completion in the next two to three years in a bid to grab a substantial share of the growing luxury real-estate market, the report states further.
A statement made by Nitesh Estate’s Chief Operating Officer Ashwini Kumar mentions the project will be located on the banks of river Sal and the same was close to pristine white sandy beaches in South Goa.
The report states further that international architects CPG and interior design firm Warner Wong have designed the project named Nitesh Fisher Island, targeted at premium-end customers.
According to the home page of the website of Nitesh Estates the company was the real estate arm of the Nitesh Group and an integrated property development company headquartered in Bangalore, with presence across 4 asset classes.
Further it introduces Nitesh Estates as developers of state-of-the-art homes, hotels, office buildings and shopping malls. In barely 6 years of operations, the company has more than 18 million sq ft of premium living, retail and work spaces under various stages of development, the website states.
Kumar states in the report the natural scenic beauty of the location in South Goa was the most compelling reason for taking up the villa community project. He informed the project was priced at Rs 8-10 crore targeted at the upper-crust people from the country and abroad, who are looking at owning an exclusive property.
Further, according to the CEO, the project was targeted at jet-setting people who were on the look out for quality time and the ones wishing to have a resort-like experience. Each villa, according to him, will have a spa and a private swimming pool, besides common water sports, a jetty and everything one desired for.
The report states over 70 per cent of the project area is covered with landscaping and water bodies, which have been designed by international landscape firm, Belt Collins.
Another project of Mumbai-based Raheja overlooking river Sal had faced strong opposition from the villagers of Carmona. Raheja’s had hit the headlines more than two years ago after they proposed to build as many as 612 apartments overlooking the river. The proposal did not find favour with the locals.
