PANJIM: Goa State Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation Ltd has disbursed Rs 377 lakh under various schemes to ST members in the first three quarters of the ongoing financial year.
Details shared by Tribal Welfare Minister Govind Gaude reveals that 89 beneficiaries were given Rs 170 lakh as loans under Ashray Adhar Scheme while 25 were granted Rs 191.17 lakh as loans under the self employment scheme and another 19 beneficiaries obtained Rs 16.33 lakh as short term loans.
From April 2005 to December 31, 2018, the Corporation has disbursed Rs 5,632.98 lakh as loans under the three schemes. Around 4,000 beneficiaries have availed of the schemes so far.
