Rs 4 lakh burgled from Cansualim market store

Burglars decamped with cash of Rs 4 lakh from a general store in Cansualim market on Tuesday night.
According to Verna Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi, burglars fled with the safe locker that contained cash amounting to Rs 4 lakh. The locker also contained some documents of general store owner.
PI Dalvi further informed that the complainant, Ramnath Mauje, had locked the general store on Tuesday evening, but when he opened the store on Wednesday morning, he noticed the main shutter of the store broke open and the safe locker that contained cash and documents missing from the store.
“We have summoned finger print experts and the dog squad to get lead in the case,” said PI Dalvi.
“We have dispatched our investigating team to a suspected place in Karnataka for investigation,” added PI Dalvi.
Verna Police has registered an offence under Sections 457 and 380 of IPC against unknown persons and is investigating the case.
