Rs 53L water bill of SGDPA market vendors waved off

MARGAO: In an interesting development, the Public Works Department has waived off nearly Rs 53 lakh as a one-time settlement against the payment of water supply charges to the vendors of the retail market owned by the South Goa Planning and Development Authority (SGPDA). 

Vinod Kumar, member secretary, SGPDA told Herald that they still need to pay the balance amount of Rs 9 lakh to the PWD, but the final decision will be taken in the meeting which will be held on September 14.
