VASCO: The fire in their shop shattered the dreams of the Sayani family, as one family member was to get married on Sunday and the family had received a fresh stock of bridal sarees only on Tuesday.
Speaking to Herald, Elias Sayani, a family member of the cloth store owners, informed that the family has been running the family business since 1991.
“The family had received a fresh stock of bridal sarees worth Rs 8 lakh on Tuesday. Mausin Amin Sayani, the son of one of the partners was due to be married on Sunday but the fire had shattered all the dreams of the Sayani family,” said Elias.
Mausin was seen on top of a Mormugao Municipal truck dumping all the material which was destroyed from the fire.
“Mausin was busy preparing for his wedding and was welcoming guests at their home when they were informed about the fire,” said Elias.
