The RSS chief, who was in Goa to attend the inauguration of the 40th convention of Giants International, said that developments in the country are happening “because there is a change in power”.
“There are several expectations of the world from the country. We feel that the country has now started working towards making everyone capable of fulfilling these expectations,” Bhagwat said in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza.
The RSS leader said that what is making the changes is the way people in power are working, and that the entire community needs to come and work together.
“If you want to make the country more successful, then the entire community has to rise to the occasion. Only if that happens, the achievements of the government can be fruitful,” he said. Without naming the Modi government, Bhagwat said this is not the first time that such a political change has happened. “But the political changes in the past were rendered useless,” he said. Giving an example of the nation’s unity during the Kargil war, Bhagwat said the victory at Kargil was of the entire nation. “Though Pakistani forces were at a higher altitude and we were lower, we still won the war. We won in Kargil because the entire country was supporting the forces. Right from the beggar on the street to the biggest person, they stood with the forces waging war on the borders,” he said.
