PANJIM: In a provocative statement, the Hindu right wing has declared that whoever wants to work in India will have to do it for Hindus.
“Hindus have been witness to the rise and fall of India since time immemorial. India cannot be separated from the Hindu community. Hindu is at the centre of the nation. Whoever wants to work in this country, he will work in Hindu community. He will have to work for Hindus, he will have to work taking along Hindu community and also to strengthen the Hindu community,” RSS general secretary Bhaiyyaji Joshi said while addressing a two-day session on “Vishwaguru Bharat” on Saturday.
Incidentally, he made the declaration in the presence of, among others, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant who attended the lecture in the evening.
Joshi further said that creating awareness and unity among Hindus does not amount to be an action against any other community. “No one should feel it that way. We can say with utter self confidence before the entire world that Hindus becoming strong won’t result in destructive activities, but will work for the society and humanity,” he added.
Going back to history, Joshi recalled Hindus never went to invade other countries but wars that broke out several times were for self defence and ‘everyone has a right of self defense’.
“India has duty to teach the world to walk on the path of samanvay (coordination). There is no one besides India, besides Hindu, who can do it,” he said.
