Ruby building collapse: Interpol wants warrant period extended

PANJIM: As the Crime Branch team is readying to file a charge sheet in the Ruby Residency building collapse tragedy, the Interpol has requested the investigating agency to extend the arrest warrant period against the two proclaimed offenders by another six months.

PANJIM: As the Crime Branch team is readying to file a charge sheet in the Ruby Residency building collapse tragedy, the Interpol has requested the investigating agency to extend the arrest warrant period against the two proclaimed offenders by another six months. 
Former directors of Vashi-based Bharat Developers and Realtors Pvt Ltd – Pradip Singh Birring and Jagdeep Kumar Seghal went underground soon after the building collapse claimed the lives of 31 labourers and injured many others this January. 
The duo is facing serious criminal and corruption charges with a fresh charge framed against them for disregarding non-bailable warrants. The previous arrest warrant was issued against them in the month of March valid for a period of three months. 
With the official communiqué from the Interpol, the agency has moved an application before the Mapusa CBI Court for a decision. The Crime Branch has already attached properties of both the absconders totally amounting to Rs 30 crore.
