MARGAO: Angry that their plea for rumblers has not been heeded to by the authorities concerned, the residents of Davorlim and surrounding areas have now threatened to shut down the main road if their plea is continued to be ignored.
Earlier, the residents had made representations to PWD, collector, MMC and others for rumblers on either side of the road proceeding to Davorlim from Margao at Aquem Power House Junction. However, the residents say that they had been made to run from pillar to post to get their demands fulfilled.
The residents say that at the Aquem Power house junction they find it difficult to drive through the junction as vehicles coming from either side of the high way enter fast.
