PANJIM: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Goa team arrested a Russian woman and British man for allegedly possessing charas and party drugs.
According to the NCB, based on specific intelligence, their team intercepted a Russian woman Ambika in Siolim on Sunday and seized 50 Ecstasy tablets weighing 20.56 gms from her.
Subsequently, in an immediate follow-up, the team identified and apprehending the supplier of the seized drug Jason Lee, a British national at Mapusa and recovered 57 MDMA tablets weighing 24.1 gms, MD weighing 40 gms and charas weighing 55 gms along with sale proceeds of Rs 4.50 lakh.
The NCB stated that both the alleged accused were main drug suppliers in the State. Further investigation is in progress.
