S Goa Congress dissolves 4 block committees

Issues show cause notices to its office-bearers for alleged anti-party activities; Cuncolim Block survives axe; Expels all 5 party former MLAs

MARGAO: The South Goa Congress has dissolved it’s 4 block committees and has issued show cause notices to its office-bearers for alleged anti-party activities. This move has been prompted after the exit of 5 South Goa Congress MLA’s. The 5 MLA’s have also been expelled for 6 years.
The South Goa Congress President Joe Dias and Vice President Yemane Dsouza were present at the briefing where they announced the same. The South Goa Congress President Joe Dias has conveyed that out of 5 the South Goa Congress has dissolved 4 of their block committees which are Canacona, Quepem, Nuvem, and Velim. They have left out Cuncolim Committee as the Block President of Cuncolim Leandry Mascarenhas has conveyed that he is still with Congress. 
The Congress has also expelled all the 5 former Congress MLA’s and have also resolved that if any Congress central leader attempts to take them back the entire District Committee will oppose the same. 
The South Goa Committee has also issued show cause notice to the District Secretaries Pramod Faldessai, Quepem, Rue Menezes, Curtorim Executive Members Prashant Prabhudessai, Canacona, Valentino Barretto Velim and Suman Gaonkar from Canacona. The notice has been issued over alleged anti-party activities by the office-bearers. 
“The Congress South Goa has resolved to send the resolutions to the Central leadership in the AICC,” said Joe Dias. Joe further said that it is not new for Congress and that the Congress has not lost their grass root workers.
