MARGAO: Drishti Lifeguard Services has urged the South Goa residents not to visit beaches and refrain from venturing into the waters due to oil getting washed up on the shore.
Drishti has notified that oil has begun to wash up on beaches along the coast in Goa. The beach stretch from Mobor to Benaulim has witnessed instances of oil being washed up on the shore. Mandrem in North Goa too has reported similar cases. Each year in April and May, oil spills such as these are witnessed at some beaches. Authorities have been informed about the same.
Drishti lifeguards have advised the visitors to refrain from wading into the waters due to the oil spill.
