PORVORIM: The State government has initiated the process to bring all the properties of Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) under the jurisdiction of the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs (DSYA), Sports Minister Govind Gaude told the House on Wednesday.
Gaude also promised to increase the sports quota for MLAs for development of sports infrastructure in their respective constituencies post the ongoing Assembly session.
The Minister said “With several sports facilities being divided between DSYA and SAG, lot of confusion prevails over its maintenance. The process has started to take all the SAG properties under DSYA.” He was responding to a question raised by Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar.
