PANJIM: Political Scientist Varun Sahni, professor of International Politics at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) New Delhi, is likely to take over as Goa University (GU) new Vice Chancellor on August 16.
Sahni, also Chairperson of the Centre for International Politics, Organization and Disarmament (CIPOD), was confirmed as VC from the shortlist of nine candidates by GU Chancellor and Goa Governor Dr Mridula Sinha a week ago.
“Sahni will take over the office of VC from August 16. His official accommodation and other requirements during his stay here are being taken care of,” a source said.
