PANJIM, JUNE 7 The Shree Sai Baba Saunsthan Shirdi Maharashtra felicitated Chief Minister Digambar Kamat for completing of two years of his government at his official residence at Altinho.

The Shree Sai Baba Saunsthan Shirdi Maharashtra felicitated Chief Minister Digambar Kamat for completing of two years of his government at his official residence at Altinho.
 A Sai shawl and prasad was presented to Kamat on behalf of the Sai Baba Saunsthan by Trustee Ashok Khambekar. President of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Subhash Shirodkar and Uppala Srinivas, Chairman AP Government Madhya Vimochan Committee was also present.
Speaking informally on the occasion, the Sai Baba Trust put forth a proposal before the Government requesting for a place in Goa at concession rates so that they can set up a Sai Baba Information Centre in the State keeping in mind the rising number of Sai Baba devotees in the State. The chief minister assured to examine the matter.
Chief Minister Kamat felt that after the Sai Paduka Darshan in February this year there has been increasing number of devotees visiting the Shree Sai Baha Saunsthan in Shirdi and therefore requested the Saunsthan to provide land for the Government so that Goa Sai Bhakt Niwas could be set up in Shirdi for visiting devotees from the state.
Khambekar said, that Kamat has been a devotee of Shree Sai Baba and used to visit the Saunsthan at Shirdi since the time he was a Councilor of  Margao municipality.
He assured that the proposal would be put up before the trustees and favourable decision would be taken.
He said, the Sai Baba information Centre would be commenced within one month that if land is provided by the Goa Government at reasonable rates.
